喵吉啦航行日誌

貓兒與貓兒老爹每年都會自NHK收看BBC轉播英國的新年音樂會(Last Night of the Proms)。

這在英國已算是傳統，而且不同於一般古典音樂向的音樂會。

新年音樂會強調的是庶民的，是大家一起同樂。所以現場的氣氛是相當輕鬆愉快的。

而非一般刻板印象中的那種死板板的音樂會。這點是貓兒非常羨慕的。

每年最後的高潮曲目必定是"Fantasia on British Sea Songs"(不列顛海上奇想曲)

而高潮中的高潮就是奇想曲的最後一個樂章；"Rule, Britannia!"的大合唱。

每次看轉播看到這裡總是令人感動又羨慕，整個音樂廳，甚至連場外看轉播的觀眾都一起齊聲合唱著；

"Rule, Britannia! Britannia, rule the waves    Britons never never never shall be slaves."

只要不列顛統領著海洋ㄧ天，不列顛人將永不被奴役。

多麼豪情萬丈的詞句啊！
